Paint yourself a picture of where you want to go in this profession.
I remember my brother telling his friends to not sit next to me at church, because “she’s always practicing singing with the tone in the front of her face”. I did that because, having had a voice lesson on Saturday afternoons, I would try out everything that was taught on Sunday during church singing. That’s probably one of the reasons why I liked going to church. Try your voice wherever you can, but always remembering how precious it is.
As you see, everything depends on how you prepare yourself.
